Check out our new educational material on the use of documentary film in the classroom developed during one of the MEDEAnet workshops this year.
The cinematographic analysis of the documentary film and its use in the classroom are illustrated with the help of ‘Our School’ – a film that documents the Roma children’s segregation in the Romanian schools.
Before the screening of the film in the classroom the brochure recommends teachers several reflective question points that help them make a first introspection into their own stereotypes and prejudice toward the Roma ethnics and into their own stand towards school segregation.
You may find more details in the English translation of the handbook available for free.
And have a look at the trailer of the film.
